Oman and the United States are actively working to enhance their economic and investment ties, focusing on boosting trade, supporting Omani exports, and attracting American investment. This collaboration was a central theme during discussions between Oman’s Minister of Economy, Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, and representatives from the Oman Trade Office in the United States, who were visiting Oman.
The meeting delved into the trade office’s achievements and future plans, addressing both challenges and opportunities for expanding economic relations between the two nations. Key topics included increasing the presence of Omani products in the US market and fostering American investments in Oman. The dialogue also explored new avenues for trade cooperation.
Bilateral trade between Oman and the United States reached approximately OMR 555.26 million by the end of July 2026. Noteworthy Omani exports to the US include chemicals and aluminum, while vehicles and transport equipment are among the significant US exports to Oman.
